High-Performance Heavy Fleet Lubricants & Synthetic Gear Oils Deployment
Supply Bottlenecks & Exposure
High ambient operating temperatures (>42°C), severe silica dust ingress, and continuous 24/7 haulage cycles were triggering premature oil oxidation and soot thickening in 100T+ haul trucks. Conventional mineral oils required frequent 250-hour drain intervals, causing recurring maintenance bottlenecks, elevated component wear, and unbudgeted plant downtime.
Direct Sourcing & Bonded Buffer Staging
Zabion formulated and deployed API CK-4 / CI-4 severe-service 15W-40 heavy-duty diesel engine oils, ISO VG 46/68 anti-wear hydraulic fluids, and synthetic ISO VG 320/460 mill gear lubricants using high-VI virgin Group II and Group III base stocks. In tandem, Zabion established an on-site bonded buffer stock holding 60 days of reserves in 208L steel drums and 1,000L IBCs, backed by routine used oil analysis (UOA) laboratory assays.
Production Impact
Safely doubled engine oil drain intervals from 250 to 500+ operating hours with zero viscosity loss or bearing scuffing. Reduced annual fleet lubrication consumption by 28%, eliminated hydraulic pump cavitation failures, and cut maintenance labor hours by over 1,400 hours annually.
"Upgrading to Zabion’s high-VI heavy-duty diesel oils and synthetic gear fluids doubled our haul truck drain intervals and shielded our mobile fleet against severe tropical dust conditions."
